At Ambrose Training Ltd we deliver approved training courses. Our electrical courses are either City & Guilds or EAL accredited. We regularly run City & Guilds 2377 PAT testing courses, City & Guilds 2382 17th edition wiring regulations courses and EAL domestic electrical installer part P courses. If you are updating from the 16th edition wiring regulations to the 17th edition wiring regulations we have a 1 day update course, the City & Guilds 2382-20. If you need to do the full 17th edition wiring regulations course, i.e. you achieved your last electrical qualification of the wiring regulations before 2001, or you have not passed a wiring regulations exam before, then there is the the 3 day City & Guilds 2382-10 course. It may be that you are interested in doing your own electrical work in domestic premises, in that case you would choose the EAL domestic electrical installer, part P course. This 5 day intensive electrical course will give you all the knowledge required to confidently apply to join one of the government approved competent person schemes, allowing you to design, install, inspect, test and certificate your own electrical installations in domestic properties. There is also the City & Guilds 2377 portable appliance testing course, or pat testing course. The pat testing training can be taken over 1 or 2 days. The 2 day portable appliance testing course is for those with little electrical knowledge. The 1 day course is for those who have a basic electrical knowledge. The 2 day course consists of day 1, which is a basic electrical training course, which will give the candidate a solid foundation for the 1 day pat course that will follow. Ambrose Training Ltd is located within Coney Green Business Centre at Clay Cross. The centre is ideally situated with excellent links to the national road and rail networks. It is just off of the A61, 5 miles south of Chesterfield and 3 miles to the west of junction 29 of the M1. The nearest train station is at Chesterfield and there is a regular bus service between Clay Cross and Chesterfield.
